Scope & Content:
Fragment of a letter to Zenon (the name of the recipient is lost) from Artemidorus, personal physician of Apollonius, finance minister, concerning some honey; with docket on the back. P.Cair.Zen. 59311 and 59555 may concern the same matter.

Extent:
Right-hand portion of a medium-brown papyrus sheet, complete at the top, right and bottom; overall well preserved; bearing writing on both sides. On the front, there are the ends of 11 lines running across the fibres; upper, right and lower margins are extant. A sheet-join runs horizontally. On the back, there are 3 lines written along the fibres, complete. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.

Extent:
Upper portion of a medium-brown papyrus sheet, another fragment of which is in Cairo (P.Cair.Zen. I 59062); somewhat damaged at the top, otherwise well preserved; written on one side along the fibres, the back being blank. On the front, there are 8 lines, with a scant trace of another line at the bottom; upper, right and left margins are extant. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Extent:
Joining fragments of a light-brown papyrus sheet; the one containing the ends of the line was acquired later. Written on both sides with the text running across the fibres on the recto and along the fibres on the verso; well-preserved apart from a few holes, the largest of which is at the joint of the fragments and affects the first three lines. Mounted in a glass case.

Extent:
Two fragments of a medium-brown papyrus sheet, housed in a glass frame; the left-hand fragment is inventoried as Papyrus 2690B and the right-hand fragment as Papyrus 2694; another fragment is now in Michigan University, inventoried as P. 3149 and published as P.Mich.Zen. 11. The British Library fragments are complete at the top, right and bottom and preserve portions of 6 lines written across the fibres on the front, the back being blank. Upper, right and lower margins are extant. Folding lines are still visible. The fragment in Michigan bears the beginnings of the lines and the docket on the back.
