Gervase Markham, who also d 1637], J[oh]n Morrett and Dr. [John] Radcliffe [fl. 1682-1714]. One of the earlier written recipes (ff. 20, 23) refers to " my brother Chich[eley?]" Later entries (e.g. f. 24) seem to be in the hand of a relative of the family of Legh of High Legh, co. Chester, and the crest of the Legh family appears on two seals on f. 2. ...
