The identification in both cases is tentative, the first volume being inscribed 'G.R.Mackarness' and the latter containing no owner's name at all. Mackarness later became Bishop of Argyll and the Isles; his brother John Fielder Mackarness married Alethea Coleridge, daughter of John Taylor Coleridge.
