This Collection comprises digital copies of six texts, copied as part of the EAP071 Archiving Texts in Sylhét Nāgri Script project. The texts have been copied from printed and hand written volumes, written in Bengali in the Sylhét Nāgri script. The texts contain a life of the Prophet, two love stories, a compilation of songs on Sufi themes and an account of the happenings of the Day of Judgement.

- The digital images in this collection were created as part of the EAP071 Archiving Texts in Sylhét Nāgri Script project. At this time the originals were held by Hāji Ābdul Ājij of Khādimān, Badarpur, Karimganj, Āssam. They were obtained for copying courtesy of Ābul Musābbir Bhuiñā.

- Received from Professor Anuradha Chanda, January and March 2008 (Accession Records EAP071/1 and EAP071/2).

- Material in this Collection was selected for digitisation by the EAP071 project.
- Administrative Context:
- EAP071 was funded by the Endangered Archives Programme. The project located and digitally copied 68 texts from 29 Collections in the Sylhet Nagri script through field trips in the districts of Cachar, Karimganj and Hailakandi in south Assam and Dharmanagar and Tripura near Silchar.
