Belonged to William, 2nd Earl of Strafford (d. 1792); his sister Anne, wife of Hon. William Conolly; their daughter Anne, wife of George Byng of Wrotham Park (d. 1847). After the auction of the papers in Aug. 1857 they belonged to J. J. Cartwright by 1885 and were in Lyon, France, by 1914. Purchased from Mlle P. Duret, Nov. 1981.
