Foliation: ff. 245 (+ 11 unfoliated paper flyleaves: 4 modern paper flyleaves (ff. [i-iv]) at the beginning, 2 paper flyleaves (ff. [v-vi]) before f. 1, 1 paper flyleaf after f. 245, 4 modern paper flyleaves at the end).
Script: Gothic.
Binding: British Museum/British Library in-house binding; rebound in 1971; the leather covers of the old (post-1600) binding are pasted down on the inside front and back covers; the leather spine of the old binding, with the stamped eagle's head crest of Sir Richard Colt Hoare, is pasted to f. [ii] recto.

'1. ROMAN de Brut, in French verse, by Wace. After f. 48 some leaves are wanting, which contained lines 10,807-13,178 according to the printed text. f. 1.
2. "Li Gaimar": 134 lines belonging apparently to the now lost first part of the "Estorie des Engles" of Geoffrey Gaimar, and containing short notices of Wales, the Roman roads in Britain, and the divisions of England under the Heptarchy. f. 58.
3. Romance of Saint-Graal in French. The title has been cut away in binding, but the colophon is as follows: "Ici finist lestorie de ioseph darimathie et de son lignage et de Nacien et de son lignage." A leaf is wanting after f. 63, containing the end of the Introduction and the beginning of the Romance. f. 59.
4. "Si commence le liure de Merlin," by Robert de Borron, in French prose. Ending with the election of Arthur to the kingdom of "Logres," or British England, and having the same colophon found in the MS. No. 747, in the Bibliothèque Nationale, in which the name of Robert de Borron occurs as the author. (See Paulin Paris, Romans de la Table Ronde, i. 357). f. 206.
