- Scope & Content:

The following seven MSS., 49999-50005, together with Additional MS. 49622 and Egerton MS. 3763, are from the collection of Charles William Dyson Perrins, of Davenham, Malvern, Worcestershire (d. 1958). Dyson Perrins bequeathed Add. MS. 49622 and Oriental MS. 12208 to the British Museum. The others were purchased from his executors, with the aid of the Friends of the National Libraries (Add. Subsequently, Dyson Perrins's widow, Florence Winifred Midwood Perrins (d. 1969), bequeathed to the Museum Add. MSS. 54782 and 54783, which had been in her husband's collection. On the Dyson Perrins MSS. in general see G. F. Warner, Descriptive Catalogue of Illuminated Manuscripts in the Library of C. W. Dyson Perrins, Oxford, 1920, i, text, ii, plates, and T. J. Brown, G.
