Correspondence and papers of George Frederick Young (b. 1791, d. 1870), shipowner and merchant of London, M.P. 1832-1838, 1851-1852 ( for notes on him see Vol. 1, ff. 66, 67), together with correspondence of his father, Vice-Admiral William Young (b. 1761, d. 1847), and other members of his family; 1784-1864. Other papers from the Young archive are in the London Museum (48.85/1-13, 48.93/1-21, 48.107/1-8,49.4, 49.15, 51.86, 52.90/1-2, 58.122).
