Edmund Candler (1874-1926) was an English journalist and writer who spent time in India as a teacher and newspaper correspondent. He reported on the Tibet Mission (1904) and on the Mesopotamia Campaign (1917). The majority of the correspondence is between Edmund Candler and other members of his family, though some official and other personal correspondence is present. The press cuttings are of his writing and of reviews for books that Candler wrote. This collection contains drafts of some of his works. His personal papers include pernits and passports relating to his travels, and notification of his CBE.
