Edmonds & Co., Jewellers for a Pearl Half Hoop Ring (1899); Merchant Seaman Certificate of Discharge for Candler after pasage from Buenos Ayres to London (1900); photocopy of marriage register for marriage between Edmund Candler and Olive Mary Tooth on January 1st, 1902 at St. James Church, Calcutta, India; handwritten note with details of the Raja of Bobbit; Passport for Candler (1915) covering period of active service in Mesopotamia and reference for Candler from J.C.R. Ewing, Vice-Chancellor at the University of Punjab (1915). There are a series of documents connected with Candler's serive in Mesopotamia: a note from the War Office declaring Candler unfit for Military Service owing to loss of left hand and history of diabetes (1915); a copy of "The Times History of the War, The Indian Number (1915) written by Candler; a Permit to Allow Candler to pass in the fire trenches (1916) with accompanying note in Candler's handwriting seemingly addressed to General Maude, Commander of the troops in Mesopotamia; Mr. Candler "Eye-Witness", certificate of mention in despatch for gallant and distinguished services in the field (1917); and "The Censorship in Mesopotamia", typed script of editorial by Candler (1918). Also British Military Permission for Candler to travel to England from South Russia (1919); and certificate for nomination of Candler to Commander of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire with accompanying typed note and original envelope (1920).
