- Two groups of records were found at the beginning of the project, lying in different rooms of the private house of the Omanhene. The first bunch of records was represented by those sorted and organized by topic by Prof. Mariano Pavanello and his students in a previous project (full details in the Survey Report). The second group was kept in another room, all mixed up and without any trace of a pre-existing order. Taking into consideration the order given to the first group of records, the EAP569 elaborated a new system of arrangement for the whole collection, this action resulting in the creation of 5 series: 1. Stool Affairs; 2. General Administration; 3. Legal Matters; 4. Financial Administration; 5. Concessions and Forest Reserve. The acronym ‘WNTC‘ (standing for Western Nzema Traditional Council) has been chosen to identify the collection. The files falling by topic in the created series have been grouped, ordered by covering dates and marked with increasing numbers. Over the years the Registrar of the Traditional Council has been in charge for the actual management of the archive.
