Imprint: Second edition. Published by Lane, Crawford & Co., Yokohama, Japan. Printed at the Tokyo Tsukiji Foundry, 17, Tsukiji Nichome, Tokyo, Japan [1891].

Landscape folio, original green cloth boards with title stamped in gilt on upper board, 285x410mm; pp.69, with 30 leaves of collotype reproductions, each accompanied by a leaf of descriptive letterpress. The majority of the platyes are Kazuma Ogawa, with odd photographs credited to Mr Miyashita (plates 2, 12 and 18), S. Aoyama of Nagoya (plate 2), Kusakabi Kimbei (plate 21) and Mr Nakamura (plate 14).
