Quarter leather and brown buckram stab-sewn volume (British Museum binding, 1971), measuring 233 170 mm, containing 24 albumen print portraits accompanied by letterpress biographical notices. This volume was issued in eight monthly parts (numbered 17-24, in continuation of volume 2), from November 1864 to June 1865, each part priced at 2s. 6d. and containing three portraits.The part wrappers are bound into the work, volumes 3 and 4 bound together. British Library holdings comprise volumes 1-6, bound in three volumes.
