The collection includes several manuscripts. The majority of them are written in Mandinka Ajami. These include: a biography of Fode Herba Drame, who founded the famous Mandinka learning center of Sunna-Karantaba; the list of Imams of Mankonomba; a list of important Mandinka riddles and their answers; a copy of the famous Arabic prayer called Dalā’il al-Khayrāt (Waymarks of Benefits); the names of people who served as chiefs of Mankomba; and personal correspondences of the current owner.
