(2) al-Qalaṣādī (القلصادي), Kashf al-astār ʿan ʿilm ḥurūf al-ghubār (كشف الأستار عن علم حروف الغبار; ff. 114r-120v).
The two texts are followed by a page of prayers seeking protection especially against plague (ff. 1r and 120v).

Ruling: Misṭarah; 27 lines per page; vertical spacing lines 13 per 10 cm
Script: Maghribī; the scribe is Abū al-Qāsim al-Sadaqāwī (أبو القاسم الصدقاوي, see colophon to first text, f. 114r, line 7)
Ink: Black ink, with rubricated headings and overlinings in red
Decoration: Occasional ink patterns around headings
Binding: Maroon buckram half-binding. Shadow of a previous envelope flap visible on the two unfoliated flyleaves immediately preceding the first text (iii-r-iv-v)
Condition: Occasional dirt and ink stains (e.g., see f. 48)
Marginalia: Intermittent, densely-written marginal notes, corrections and calculations in a small hand.
Seals: British Museum stamps (ff. 1r, 36r, 50r, 87r and 120v)
