Os documentos estão distribuídos nas séries: Livro de Notas (1829-1886) em que consta registros de escrituras de compra e venda de terras, procurações particulares, entre outros documentos; Inventários (1778-1887); Ações Criminais (1840-1893); Juízo de Direito e Juízo dos Feitos (1871-1891); Juízo de Órfãos e Juízo Eleitoral (1879-1881); Estrada de Ferro (1883).
The collection has documents in the forms of book and legal proceedings, manuscript, written in Portuguese language, referring to the colonial, imperial, and beginning of the republican periods. It contains documents from the District of Sousa, District of São João do Cariri, District of Pombal, District of Independência (Guarabira), District of Teixeira, District of Areia, District of Piancó, District of Cabaceiras. The documents are distributed in the series: Book of Notes (1829-1886), which contains deed of sale and purchase of lands, private powers of attorney, among other documents; Inventories (1778-1887); Criminal Lawsuits (1840-1893); Court of Law and Feitos Court (1871-1891); Court of Orphans and Electoral Court (1879-1881); Railroad (1883).
Custodial history: The Superior Tribunal of Justice from Paraíba was created on September 30, 1891. However, in 1892 its dissolution takes place and Paraíba returned to the jurisdiction of the Relação of Recife-Pernambuco. On 11 February 1893, it is resintalled and it is currently named Tribunal of Justice from Paraíba. The Memorial of the Tribunal of Justice from Paraíba was created in celebration to the centenary of the institution. The institution has documents belonging to several districts, instances from the Judiciary Power, which were incorporated to the Memorial under the request of the presidency from the Tribunal of Justice.
