A série contém documentos produzidos extrajudicialmente, pelos tabeliães públicos, em formato de livro, manuscritos, entre os anos de 1829 a 1886. Os Livros de Notas da Vila de Sousa, 1829 a 1860, e da Vila de São João, 1876 a 1886, registram procurações, escrituras de compra e venda de terras, cartas de liberdade de escravos.
The series contains documents produced extrajudicially, by public notary, in the forms of book, manuscripts, between 1829 and 1886. The Books of Notes from the Sousa Village, 1829 to 1860, and from the Village of São João, 1876 to 1886, register powers of attorney, deed of sale and purchase of lands, emancipation letters for slaves.
