Custodial history: This is the manuscript collection of traces of Kandasamy Kethisan, who was born in Batticaloa and currently resides in Karupangeni, Batticaloa. His father was Thangarasa Kandasamy. Adara Kandasamy is Pushparani who has got the said manuscripts from her paternal and maternal side. He has been preserving these for the past 25-30 years. His parents are found to be from Thensery of Periya Paramakkutty Gudi in Vandarumoolai. Their descendants have been seen as experts in medicine, magic, art etc. He also said that even today his maternal uncle practices medicine. His father was a well-known poet in the 80s and 90s, nicknamed Kaliyugan. The father was clairvoyant in his heritage and worked as a railway ticket inspector in many parts of Sri Lanka. He said that during the days when he was a boy, there were many treasure chests in his house and many treasure chests were destroyed due to changes of hands between relatives, calamities, war activities and writing down the contents of the book on paper. Kathisan has knowledge of medicine, magic, etc. and works as a mechanical engineer in the Sri Lankan Public Transport Service.
