Custodial history: According to Managapodi Parasuraman (Priest, Chiddhamaruthuvar), the owner of the manuscript says that the were amanuscripts cquired through his father and wife. He is a native of Kannanguda and is married and living in Munnakoddai He has been defending these rights for 25 years His wife's lineage is known as Dhundikadu Vodiyar lineage (Muruguppillai Vodiyar, Seenithambi Vodiyar) which is a lineage of Vodiyars who were in charge of minor administrative divisions during the British rule and this lineage was carried on by the teacher (Vadiyar) for eight generations. His wife's paternal grandfather, Valasingham Vidhanaiyar, wrote the manuscript Vatanamar Agaval. He says that the manuscripts may belong to the 18th century.
