Custodial history: The manuscript collection is found in the custody of Ratnasingham Kandaphodi, who lives in Pattipalai, Batticaloa. He has inherited these manuscript from his father. Father was Kathirkamapodi Gandapodi, a renowned physician and potter from Thalanguda, Batticaloa. He belongs to Kalinga village. His mother was Kandaphodi Letsumipillai from Bandariaveli, Batticaloa. He belongs to Pedayanda Gudi. Ratnasingham, 71, has been learning medicine and magic from his father since he was 18. He is now seen as a very busy priest. He is seen performing pooja in 32 temples per season of the year, chanting manuscript and having the ability to write. He also said that he will hand over the responsibilities to his grandson after him.
