Custodial history: Ganapathipillai Vellathambi is found to be the owner of six manuscript containing horoscopes, horoscopes, medicine sagas, witchcraft and magic remedies. He is from Munaikaddu, Batticaloa. He says that he got these manuscript from his paternal inheritance and they can be identified as manuscripts from the 18th and 19th century. A member of his lineage named Vikhathambi Chatriyar Krisnapillai says that his father Ganapathiyar Vellathambi has been preserving these manuscripts since 1950s and after his death in 1985. He, who can read manuscript for some extent, is also preserving the writing tools for the manuscript and protective boards.
