In Vol. I. the authors quoted are Jacob Bryant, Vivant Denon, Charles Rollin, Edward Daniel Clarke. Vol. 11. treats entirely of the various modes of burial amongst the ancients; and in addition to Sophocles, Herodotus, etc., the following modern authors are quoted:-E. D. Clarke, Rev. James Dallaway, William Gell, Peter Simon Pallas, Inigo Jones, and Edward King.
