- This series of files and volumes relates to Persia and the Persian Question, the two-volume book on Persia [Iran] written by Lord Curzon, which was published in 1892. The first file in the series, Mss Eur F112/611, contains letters, notes and printed material on Persia compiled by Curzon as part of his research for the book. The second file, Mss Eur F112/612, contains notes and newspaper cuttings (including Curzon's own letters to The Times), while Mss Eur F112/613 consists of handwritten notes, printed research papers, newspaper cuttings, and received correspondence, as well as maps and reports. Mss Eur F112/614 is formed almost entirely of correspondence relating to Persia, while Mss Eur F111/29 consists of a catalogue of publications concerning Persia, categorised by subject. Mss Eur F111/30, Mss Eur F111/31, and Mss Eur F111/32 contain the handwritten manuscript of Persia and the Persian Question, while Mss Eur F111/33 contains Curzon's personal copy of the published book, alongside various loose papers relating to Persia (correspondence, newspaper cuttings, booksellers' catalogues, journal articles, photographs, and sketches), which Curzon had inserted into the two volumes at relevant passages. Mss Eur F112/615 contains notes and correspondence regarding the sale and publication of Persia and the Persian Question, while the final volume, Mss Eur F111/67, is composed of notes and printed papers collected by Curzon in order to inform any future edition of the book.
