Reference material used by Miles and others. The files were originally arranged year-by-year but Miles later reorganized them by subject content and used them to house material which he used most often. For example: memorabilia and photographs needed for shows, including exhibitions at the Tate, ICA, Whitney, V&A, and Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame; material used in books by Miles such as The Pink Floyd, In the Sixties, Hippie, London Calling, In the Seventies, as well as often lent to others for their publications. Many of the documents and letters housed here were used as information sources for the same books.
