Material created and gathered by Buchanan-Hamilton during his survey of Bengal, comprising tours in Dinajpur (1807-1808), Rangpur (1808-1809), Purnea (1809-1810), Bhagalpur (1810-1811), Behar and Patna (1811-1812), Shahabad (1812-1813), and Gorakhpur (1813-1814).
Each district has its own self contained report, and each report consists of five 'books' and certain appendices, namely
