The dasht series of the Manuscripts of the Great Al-Omari Mosque covers a wide range of Islamic sciences and the humanities. The series describes important and rare manuscripts.
تغطي مجموعة الأوراق المتفرقة لمخطوطات المسجد العمري مجموعة واسعة من العلوم الإسلامية والإنسانية, وكما تشتمل على مجموعة من المخطوطات المهمة والنادرة.
Custodial history: The dasht manuscripts had been endowed as a Waqf by scholars of southern Palestine, especially from the Gazans. The most important collection and the largest part of it was endowed from Shaykh Abu Al-Mawahib Ali Al-Dajani the former Mufti of Jaffa. He gave his manuscripts to Mr. Yusuf Al-Dajani in 1944 AD and from Mr. Yusuf the manuscripts were reached to Gaza.
