- The warehouse at Coopers Row, Tower Hill, was formerly called Brown's Yard. It was built in 1766-67 on the site of six houses previously leased by Beeston Long from the Chapter of St Catherine's Hospital. The East India Company purchased an assignment of Long's lease in December 1764 for £2,200 and subsequently paid for renewals of the Hospital's lease at intervals.
