- Cooper's Hill estate near Egham in Surrey was purchased by the India Office in 1871 for £55,000 from Albert Grant. The conversion of the property was supervised by Matthew Digby Wyatt and the official opening took place in August 1872. Although the College closed in October 1906, the estate was not sold until 1911.
