(elder surviving son of Sir Stephen Fox), Baron (1741) and (1756) 1st Earl of Ilchester, and of his wife, Elizabeth (b. 1723, d. 1792), daughter of Thomas Horner afterwards Strangways-Horner and his wife, Susanna, née Strangways. The papers were used in Lord Ilchester's Letters to Henry Fox, Lord Holland, with a few addressed to his brother Stephen, Earl of Ilchester, Roxburghe Club, 1915.
