The files listed below were not among the Directors' papers at the time of acquisition, but in the currently-uncatalogued 'Operations' (Business) or 'OPE' series (anticipated reference MS Mus. 1813/2/2). They were all contained in a single box with the former external reference 'OPE/1/7/1' and the title 'Roth / Britten / Stein'. They were transferred into the Directors' series because of their contents' clear relation to and consistency with the 'Special letters' (MS Mus. 1813/2/1/286-301).
