The Confidential subject files contain correspondence concerning various building works undertaken by the British Political Agency at Bahrain. They include: establishment of the Agency building from 1900 and subsequent repair, renovation and expansion work until 1918; the building of quarters for clerks employed by the Agency; and the provision of post office facilities in the Agency and postmaster's quarters.
