Lamb Papers (Series II). Vols. xxix-xxxi. Vouchers to account of Peniston Lamb, Viscount Melbourne; 1801-1836. For payments to tradesmen, labourers, servants, creditors, solicitors and for subscriptions and levies; with related correspondence. The papers relate to the accounts of Peniston Lamb, which were continued (from Add. 82991, f. *) by William Lamb as his executor. The majority of bills were settled by Charles Cookney, solicitor. The vouchers in Add. 82991 and 82992 have been arranged chronologically by payment date; where they are attached in small bundles the latest payment date has been used for arrangement. (233/6,10-12,14, 235/12, 241/11). Add. 82993 has not been integrated into the chronology as it was acquired as a distinct sequence (233/9).
