These files were originally accumulated by Dr. Ernst Roth among his existing business files (now numbered MS Mus. 1813/2/1/9-196), but were extracted and made distinct before acquisition by the British Library. After Roth's retirement in 1964, Rufina Ampenoff became Stravinsky's main contact at Boosey & Hawkes; her continuation of the administrative filing concerning Stravinsky, maintained until 1968, now forms MS Mus. 1813/2/1/293-296.
