Correspondence with Dimitrios Schinas, North's London librarian from 1819 to 1824, relates to his writing a Greek–English grammar (1821), publishing a newspaper appeal for subscriptions to help the Greek revolution (see the Morning Chronicle, 17 October 1821), incurring debts in the same cause and being imprisoned (1822), being discovered in an attempt to obtain money fraudulently from North (1825).
