Sir James Graham, a trustee of North, sends a series of letters in 1817 at the time of North's inheriting the Guilford title and property. William Knocker, North's estate steward at Waldershare, Kent, writes about tenancy and estate matters. John Jewell claims payment for a vessel which he had sold to the Government of Ceylon. A L Hunter, nephew of Lady Hughes, sends North a letter written by Lord Nelson to Lady Hughes; however only the envelope for this letter is present, addressed by Nelson with his left hand, and having his seal.
