(1) A single printed page (removed from a parish publication, with advertisements on the verso) listing various baptisms, marriages and burials from the Parish Register [Enfield]. Amongst the baptisms listed: 'Sept. 12 - Robert Walter, s. of Robert James William and Susy Selina Cobbing'. Year not given.
(2) Small autograph album, given to Bob Cobbing by his father in 1931, on the occasion of Cobbing's scholarship to Enfield Grammar School. The first entry is an original colour portrait (of Cobbing's father?) annotated: 'With all good wishes / From Cologne / Jan 1st 1919'. Other pages contain entries dated 1931. With many blank pages.
(3) Four Enfield Grammar School Reports for R W Cobbing (1936-37). Also, the cover of 'The magazine of the Enfield Grammar School' (Summer Term, 1936) containing loose pages from more than one issue of the magazine including references to Cobbing as Chairman of the Natural History Society (debates, talks - 'a pillar of the Society') and to his leaving the school ('Careers').
(4) School compositions, comprising five poems and a marked précis exercise:
- (a) 'The Eagle' (part 1 only) in three autograph texts, and in typescript (parts 1 and 2);
- (b) 'The Ever-Wandering Spirit' (autograph and typescript);
- (c) 'If stars should stud the sky' in two autograph texts (one marked 'Poetry Competition');
- (d) 'The ancient church...' (autograph) with metrical analysis on the verso;
- (e) 'I Must Forget' (autograph);
- (f) a marked précis exercise ('The Cop and the Anthem').
