This file contains two copies of a concession agreement between Cable & Wireless Limited and the Government of Bahrain (represented by Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the ruler of Bahrain). The agreements (folios 5-18) were signed in the presence of Hugh Dunstan Rance, the British Political Agent in Bahrain and have wax impressions of the Agency's official seal on the reverse of their final folios. The agreements are bi-lingual (English and Arabic) and every folio of one copy (folios 12-18) has been stamped with Shaikh Salman's personal seal.
The file also contains draft copies of the agreement (folios 19-34) in both English and Arabic with annotations and corrections in pencil.
