The volume contains correspondence between the Office of the Secretary of State for India in London, the Political Agent at Bahrain, the Political Resident at Bushire, Bahrain Petroleum Company Limited (BAPCO) and California Arabian Standard Oil Company (CASOC) representatives.
The bulk of the correspondence is about CASOC's proposal to install wireless apparatus in Bahrain for purposes of communication between the Company's office in Bahrain and Company representatives on Saudi Arabian mainland (Dhahran).
The volume includes operating instructions for the telephone communications (folios 238-239).
There is an index at the end of the volume (folios 289-308).
