Correspondence concerning the visit of HMS Ormonde to Bahrain to conduct surveys of Bahrain, Yas Island and Muharraq; the survey party consisted of two officers and eleven ratings and was engaged in surveying work on a number of visits. Includes notice in Arabic with English translation, signed by Charles Dalrymple Belgrave, Adviser, Bahrain Government, warning the public not to interfere with the flags and beacons placed by the survey party. Correspondence also discusses the survey of Yas Island with a request to the Shaikh of Abu Dhabi to allow facilities.
