The file contains correspondence between the Bahrain Petroleum Company Limited (BAPCO) representative, BAPCO Manager, Mr. Skinner, and the Political Agent at Bahrain on the disturbances occurred at the BAPCO club in Jabal (Jabala, Al Manāmah, Bahrain) on the night of 18 April 1936, which left Mr Skinner and others injured, and on the subsequent investigation and disciplinary action against those responsible, four British nationals, employees of BAPCO.
On folios 42-153 are 'Proceedings of a Judicial Enquiry held at the New Camp, Bahrain', containing the Political Agent's decision that the four men should leave Bahrain for breaching the Bahrain Order in Council.
The file also contains some correspondence on the dismissal from BAPCO of another employee.

- The foliation is in pencil in the top right corner, encircled. The numbering starts on the cover with 1, then 2-20; 21 and 21A; 22-31; 32 and 32A and ends on the back cover, with 182. A second incomplete foliation sequence runs intermittently between folios 3-172, and a short third foliation sequence runs between folios 177-181; these numbers are also written in pencil, but are not circled, and can be found in the same position as the main sequence.
