This file contains a copy of a telegram (with covering letter) sent from the Secretary of State for the Colonies in London to the Political Resident in Bushire on 30 July 1933.
The telegram informs the Political Resident that effective from 1 August 1933, the India Office will take over responsibility hitherto discharged by the Colonial Office 'in respect of Persian Gulf work including oil'.
