This file contains correspondence and copies of relevant documents regarding travel regulations in the Persian Gulf, particularly discussions regarding landing and visa rules for entry in to Bahrain.
All of the correspondence in the file is between British officials, notably the British Consulate in Basra; the British Embassy in Baghdad; the Political Agency in Bahrain and the Political Residency in Bushire.
The file contains a limited amount of correspondence between the Political Agency in Bahrain and the Residency in Sharjah; this correspondence is in Arabic. On folios 95-96, the file contains a memorandum regarding travel documents issued by the Residency Agent in Sharjah.
