This file contains correspondence regarding the retention and resumption of British nationality and the naturalisation of individuals as British citizens.
The file contains copies of letters of application from a number of different individuals (some of which are in Arabic) and requests sent on behalf of their employees by the oil companies, Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) and the Californian Arabian Standard Oil Company.
The file also contains correspondence regarding the British Nationality and Status of Aliens Act, 1914 and the admission of 'alien' missionaries into British Colonies, Protectorates and Mandated Territories.
