The file consists of monthly reports from March to December 1949 by the Chief Special Police Officer at Ahmali (F J McLintic and J H W O'Hare), outlining investigations into criminal offences committed by or against those subject to British jurisdiction as per the Kuwait Order in Council; primarily these are against the Kuwait Oil Company. These reports contain brief details on the following: the offences committed (including statistics on the number of cases), whether any suspects (sometimes named) were detained, and whether any prosecutions or punishments have been issued. It also reports on measures taken to prevent offending, on the overall level of crime, and on traffic incidents. At the front of the file (see folios 2-5) is an introduction to criminal law as applied in Kuwait.
