The file contains Annual Returns of the Establishment of the Political Agency and HBM's Consulate, Muscat, as at 1 April 1933-1 April 1935, inclusive, with related correspondence from the Political Residency, Bushire, and the office of the Accountant General, Central Revenues, New Delhi.
The returns list the names of members of the Clerical Establishment and the Medical Establishment, any new starters, and other pensionable staff paid for from the Office Allowance. The returns for the Permanent Establishment give details of post, date of appointment, date of birth, and details of pay.
