This volumeconsists of collections to Bombay Political Despatches from the Secretary ofState for India to the Government of Bombay Political Department, numbers 44-48,dated 1859.The collections consistof papers forwarded with the Government of Bombay’s Political Despatches to theSecretary of State for India. The collections were compiled for informationpurposes for the Secretary of State for India to compose the answeringPolitical Despatches, which are not included in the collections. There is more than one collection tomost of the Political Despatches.
Each collectionincludes a cover sheet, stating to which Bombay Political Despatch from theSecretary of State for India it is a collection, which Political Despatch fromthe Bombay Government it is in response to, and the subject of the collection.
