- Scope & Content:
- This volume relates to the employment of financial advisors from the United States by the Government of Persia [Iran], and negotiations between HM Government and the United States Government over oil concessions in Persia. It comprises official correspondence, dated 8 July 1918 to 22 December 1925, forwarded to the Political and Secret Department, India Office, by HM Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at the Court of Persia, Tehran, and forwarded to the Under-Secretary of State for India, London, and the Secretary of State for the Government of India in the Foreign and Political Department, New Delhi. Papers are mainly in English, with a small number in French. This volume comprises two parts (items) in reverse order, as follows:
