The volume comprises three parts (numbered 7, 8 and 9), each comprising correspondence and papers relating to the invasion of Hejaz by Wahhabi troops under the Sultan of Najd ‘Abd al-‘Azīz bin ‘Abd al-Raḥmān bin Fayṣal Āl Sa‘ūd. Part 7 covers the fall of Medina and Jeddah, the abdication of King of Hejaz, ‘Alī bin Ḥusayn al-Hāshimī, and the desecration of tombs and shrines at Medina. Part 8 covers King Fuad of Egypt’s proposal to mediate in the dispute between Hejaz and Najd. Part 9 covers compensation claims made by British subjects who were in Taif during the Wahabi invasion and massacre in the city in September 1924.
Each part includes a divider which gives the subject and part numbers, the year the subject file was opened, the subject heading, and a list of correspondence references contained in that part by year. This is placed at the back of the correspondence.
