- ff.8-9: 'Titus Far From Home', draft of passage describing Titus looking down on the city from a window on the thirtieth floor, inscribed 'For Maeve', 1-15 January 1953;
- ff.10-12: 'Titus ('Afar' crossed out and replaced with) Alone' subtitled 'Out of the shadows, two voices': early draft of opening of Titus Alone consisting of dialogue between two characters who discover Titus asleep;
- ff.13-14: dialogue between two characters, one informing the other that his wife is dead; another character called Digby is mentioned (unidentified typescript on reverse);
- f.15: drafts of a passage describing Titus lying on a slab of stone on a mountainside, about to dream of Gormenghast;
- f.16: list of chapters, events in the storyline and characters for Titus Alone;
- f.17: draft of scene with Titus, Mrs Ovoid and the Hintroducer;
- f.18: draft entitled 'The Fly', scene between Mrs Dogflower and The Fly; two crossed out passages on reverse: a man putting on socks; Titus being introduced to Aphride? Dark;
- f.19: scene between two characters entitled 'Wincy Spider' and 'Mrs Grass and Titus';
- f.20: passage in which a servant, 'the half-wit' hugs her mistress;
- f.21: heavily revised draft of chapter describing scene between Titus, who is 'dressed to the nines', and a servant;
- f.22: passage describing Titus in a desert landscape;
- f.23: description of Mrs Rancour-Rhodien (variously Rhodein and Rhodean);
- f.24: typescript entitled '1st draft of Chapter 42 G'ghast' [title partially crossed out] with description of Gormenghast Castle after the flood;
- f.25: typescript in red ink '(Covering old pages 383-401)' detailing corrections to first draft of typescript for Titus Alone (see Add MS 88931/1/3/37-39);
- ff.26-27: depiction of the Black House in ruin after Cheeta's party and Muzzlehatch's death; Titus waving to Crabcalf, Crackbell [Crack-Bell in the published edition] and Slingshott (passage begun in Maeve's hand and continued in Mervyn's?).
Also includes 'Notes for Titus 3': folder containing newspaper cuttings about Queen Elizabeth I's visit to Nigeria [1956].
