2. 16 April 1960 (date of franking). France. Postcard, typed. The card is pre-printed (Care of Curtis Brown Ltd, London, informing the recipient that Durrell is unable to accept 'your kind invitation'). Durrell's communication to Hadkinson has been typed over and around the printed message.
